Upshur, Arthur, 1789-1830
Arthur Upshur was born at Warwick in Accomack County, to Abel Upshur and Elizabeth Gore Upshur. He was know as Arthur "Long Arthur" Upshur due to his height. He married Anne Billings Steele on December 12, 1810. He was the brother of Elizabeth Upshur Teackle and Ann Upshur Eyre.
