Teackle, Henrietta "Retta," 1792-1827
Retta Teackle was the daughter of Severn Teackle and Lucretia Edmondson Teackle. These cousins of the Teackle family lived in Easton, and Retta and her sister Elizabeth Custis Teackle were often guests at both Teackle Mansion and Eyre Hall. She's the aunt of Severn Teackle Wallis (1816-1894). The Easton Gazette reported that she died at the home of Dr. Edward Harris's in Queen Anne, Maryland, on August 4, 1827. She never married.
