Goldsborough, Sarah Yerbury, 1787-1861
Sarah Yerbury was born on August 8, 1787 in Dorchester County, Maryland to Charles William Goldsborough and Williamina Elizabeth Smith. She was the second wife to the Hon. Charles Goldsborough whom she married on May 22, 1804. Together they had fifteen children, to include: Admiral Louis Malesherbes Goldsborough and Commodore John Rodgers Goldsborough, both of whom commanded ships in North Atlantic Blockading Squadron during the American Civil War. Sarah Yerbury Goldsborough died on August 7, 1861 and is buried at Christ Episcopal Church Cemetery in Cambridge, Maryland.
