Lloyd, Virginia Upshur, 1812-1843
Virginia Upshur was the eldest daughter of Arthur Upshur and his wife, Anne Billings Steele. Born on October 13, 1812, she seemed to have been prone to sickness according to the letters from Elizabeth Upshur Teackle to her sister, Ann Upshur Eyre. However, she married Daniel Lloyd on November 22, 1832 and together they had five children. They enslaved eighteen people in their home. Virginia lived to the age of 30 and died on June 7, 1843. She is buried at Wye House, Talbot Couty, Maryland.

She also talks about the health of Anne Billings Steele Upshur and her daughter Virginia Upshur. She says her husband, Littleton D. Teackle will be leaving for Annapolis tomorrow.
