Mr. Chauncey will hand this, he takes the Steam boat in the morning, and I write mostly to satisfy your mind as regards your husband's health. I do think he has much improved in [Strength] and Spirits, nor has he experienced any thing like his former or any other complaint. Hetty also is quite well and continues to testify it by her getting more corpulent. We in the morning, expect to go off towards Hartford and the next day to take up our Journey to Hudson, which we expect to prosecute untill we have performed it. From our whole movements you will regularly hear. Charles will not write Tomorrow as I do now. I do not [wish] you to take any trouble to write to me, it is unnecessary, seeing my object is performed by giving you information in confirmation, of our so far safety. Our movements have been slow, owing to unavoidable accidents. This day was intended for our Journey to Hartford, but the rain has stop'd us; my love to James and Eliza; as also to the Children.
