Dear Charles
I presume you'll hear from us by Capt. Coleburn, who I expect is now at Sea for your place in a neighbours Shalloop1, he has onboard a few Hams for present use, a Box of [illegible] from our Gasque, and a small Trunk.
The object of this letter, is to ask of you to send pr Coleburn the amount of payments and dates of the Money you have received on Wilsons Assts, he has requested me to advise him in order that he can settle with me, what may be unpaid had better be returnd.
I also have to request of you to send me by Capt. C. 2 half Barrells of Fishers ale, I am nearly out of your city Beer and ale, and therefore should be pleased that this opportunity was not omitted. I have had very excellent ale of Fisher and some ordinary. I trust my friend James will send us good now. Our Peach orchards are in Bloom and gardens fully so, The first square of Peas will be shuk next week. This is the forwardest year remember'd for abt 40 years. Our mashers are sprung in many places six Inches high. I presume Henry is down the Bay if not at sea, I left him this very week at P. Ann. I expect the Post every minute after the boy gets to stores, we are well. In love to you all
Your father
