George Town 3d October 1806
Dear Charles
I safely arrived here last night in good health but have little stirred about yet. I shall again write to you on Sunday and shall wait to hear from you, after which unless otherwise advised, you may not expect me here; I shall then fully State any and every thing which occurs. In my last from Baltimore I told you that it was contemplated that one of your Sisters perhaps Elza. would on my return home be with you, and as well I said why Henry did not take her up with him.
I am exceedingly desirous to hear [surface disruption] Henry, I have had not a Syllable from home since I left it. You will please to afford me all you have received in your letters. With love and affection I am
your Father
