My dear Son
I wrote to you by Mr. Snead the day before yesterday, since which nothing of Importance has occured. I was last Evening through your house the Painters all nearly done the 2d Coat, throughout and I have on reflection last nigh believed that it would be best for you, to defer the third coat till next year, as that coat is long drying and the Lint at least must remain unpleasant and unwholesome till late this fall it must take long to harden altho dry, and ass to this the house now looks very well, and that another painting, after the wood is more shrunk, and this painting fully hardened, will be more service and ahve the appearance much more perfect than if done now. You will think of these Ideas, and advise me as soon as you conclude on the Subject. In love to you all I am
Your father
John Teackle
