The day I left you I got to New Castle about one oclock and after dinner went to Apoquinni - 21 miles, and yesterday I reached Milford, 45 miles. By the next mail I hope you will be advised of my geting home. Well, I shall write thereby to you and to Mr. Chauncey. In regard to the money of Mr. Dennis $320, dont send it Unless I hereafter ask it. I will pay it here, and the sum will help on so far, if you take any of the loan for me. I hear from Lewis Town this morning the fireing is done and the vessels drawn of except the [Butury], no lives were lost but some of the houses much Injured. In love to all of you
