Landon, Jesse, 1770-1815
Jesse Landon was born in 1770, in Pokomoke, Somerset County, Maryland, to Joseph Landon and his wife from the Walston Family. He married Margaret “Peggy” Mitchell and together they had at least four children. Jesse Landon seems to have worked as the overseer for Littleton and Elizabeth Upshur Teackle at their home in Princess Anne, Maryland. He died on November 19, 1815, of a “violent cold” which was likely pneumonia.
