Allmand, Albert, 1793-1831

Col. Albert Allmand was born in Norfolk, the son of Harrison and Louise Allmand. He was a veteran of the War of 1812 and an attorney. He married Margaret Walke O'Grady on June 18, 1818, and they had six children. In the 1820 census, he's living in a household of ten people, four of whom he enslaved. He's buried at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Norfolk.
