Wharton, John, 1762-1811

John Wharton was the son of John and Elizabeth Bagwell Wharton, and he married Elizabeth W. Williams on June 6, 1784. He's buried at Wharton Cemetery in Mappsville.

Letter from John Teackle to Charles Nicoll Bancker. The letter is from Vol. 1 of Charles N. Bancker's correspondence journal. John writes that his son Henry Dennis Teackle is still very sick and does not seem to be getting better. Henry wishes to travel to Philadelphia to see Charles and Dr. Physick, but John worries he will not survive the journey. He also writes about some business matters.
