Hamilton, Thomas, 1802-1854
Thomas Hamilton was the eldest of Andrew Donaldson Campbell and Jane Hamilton’s sons. He was born in 1802, with a christening date of July 25, 1802, in Hayton By Brampton, Cumberland, England. He was sent to Halifax, Nova Scotia to apprentice in one of his father’s counting houses, but seems to have moved back to Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire, Scotland. He died in 1854 and is buried in St. Andrew’s Churchyard in Kilmarnock. (We are 95% sure that this is the correct person.)
