Walker, Alexander, 1780-1862

Alexander Walker was a merchant with premises at 17 Prune Street in Philadelphia in 1805. During the War of 1812, he served as the Agent for British prisoners-of-war located in Philadelphia. He was born in Birmingham, England and was the son of Alexander Walker and Ann Stouton. He married Esther Wood Montgomery on February 6, 1806 in Philadelphia.
