Forrest, Joseph Zachariah, 1768-1845

In 1808, Joseph Z. Forrest was chosen as President of the Washington Commercial Company at a meeting held at Stelle's Hotel. He was the son of Zachariah Forrest and Ann Edwards, born in St. Mary's County. He married Elizabeth Dulaney in 1788, they were the parents of three children, including Admiral French Washington Forrest. He's buried in the Congressional Cemetery in Washington D.C.
