Robert Coulbourn was born in Somerset County, the son of Robert Coulbourn and Leah Elizabeth Holland. He married Jane Disharoon and had at least four children. In the 1800 census, Robert Coulbourn is living in Somerset County in a household of eight people, 5 of whom he enslaved.
