Holbrook, John

John Holbrook lived in Princess Anne, Somerset County, Maryland. Part of the large Holbrook Family, he was involved in farming and buying and selling land. In 1788, John applied to the Justices of Baltimore County Court to benefit from “An Act Respecting Insolvent Debtors” by the Maryland State Legislature. When Henry Holbrook died in 1793, John was given 207 acres of land to sell to pay debts, which he sold to Thomas Holbrook, Jr, owner of “Harrington, on January 7, 1794.
