Mythology - Greek - Aphrodite
Aphrodite was the goddess of love, beauty, pleasure, desire, and procreation. The Iliad states that she is the daughter of Zeus and Dione, a goddess of the seas, however, Hesiod's Theogony states that she was born from the foam of the ocean after the Cronos threw Uranus' severed genitalia in the waters. Either way, she became one of the twelve primary gods of Olympus in Greek mythology.
