Mythology - Greek - Fates - Clotho
Clotho was the first and youngest of the Moirai Sisters. Her name means "the Spinner." Among the Fates, she represented the Maiden, young and vibrant, wielding a spindle from which she spun the thread of life. She determined who was born, when they were born, and to whom they were born. In some stories, she had the power to bring the dead back to life, such as in the story of Pelops, who was killed by his father, Tantalus, and offered to the gods as a feast.
