Mythology - Greek - Fates - Lachesis
Lachesis was the middle of the Moirai Sisters. Her name means "the Measurer." Among the Fates, she represented the Mother, life and purpose, wielding a measuring rod to apportion the length of the thread of life appropriately. She determined how long a person would live and what their destiny in life would be.
