P. Anne October 13th, 1807
My dear husband
After waiting the post, I see no letters from you for me. Mr. Barns rec’d one. I have been looking over the papers for some news of the Princess Anne, but see nothing. I am in the hopes to hear from you soon with good intelligence.
I shall set out in the morning for Virginia, with Miss Anna and Elizabeth.
We are all well and everything in good condition.
I contemplate to stay about 4 weeks from home, but if I receive advices of your being to return sooner, I shall hasten.
I shall write from Northampton, meanwhile I hope to hear often from you. I am my dear husband,
Your affectionate
and dutiful wife
E.U. Teackle
