Miss Nancy’s mama, thinking the earrings are entirely too high priced for the young lady’s fortune to admit of and wishes you to exchange them for a pair not exceeding 6 or 7 dollars. Julian Stevenson has a pair of 7 dollar price that wou’d exactly suit Miss Nancy and she wou’d tell you where she got them. They are very showy gold drop't rings. I have entrusted the box with the rings to Mr. Walton who promises to deliver theme to you in Baltimore.

We are going on as usual, and in the hope of seeing you soon. I am obliged to say in haste
