Saturday we arriv’d ½ 3 o’[clock] to dinner. All safe. Elizbeth was a little indisposed from cold taken in Balt.
Mr. Messonia is here. In great haste I write by him. Assure yourself of my tenderest affection and deep interest for your own sake in all your concerns. I will endeavour by all the means in my power to act so as to insure my own esteem, and a continuance of your confidence.
Mr. Jackson informs me my bill of wayfare is about 50 dollars, I suppose including Mrs. Donnell’s share.
I have incurred no unnecessary expenditure. I sent your letter to Brown and shall send 150 doll[ars]. This m[ornin]g.
Tell John I shall take every kind care of his children, and tell him I am perfectly satisfied of his honesty, affection and gratitude.
All well.
Louther, Caleb, and Martha on report of the peoples going, went off; but their relations say there were frightened and will come back now they know I am here. They are in the neighborhood.
Please send me my stockings by the first vessel, or if you so before such opportunity leave them to some one who will send them. God eternally bless you!, and prosper all your concerns.
