Princess Ann 3d July 1806
Dear Charles
I left home after dinner yesterday to Mr. L. Dennis and here at 9 this morning, my object was chiefly to visit my brother John Dennis before he began his Journey towards the Ball Town Spring, which he thinks will not commence till next Wednesday. I will not explain as to his State of health, his appearance will say it is delicate, yet I have hope that he will reap the benefit so much hoped for by his consistory, he intends to stay only a few days in your City. Mr. Gen. Jackson goes with him, but whither farther than Philadelphia I know not. I have told him that should any unexpected event turn up during his Tour, so as to exhaust the plentifull Supply of money he has taken with him, that I know it would give you pleasure, to know his dfts, a circumstance I should be pleased you'd take some occation to signify to him, I need not say further as to Mr. D.
We recd. your letter of 25th informing that my dear little Henrietty was fast getting well. I need not mention that the Sollicitude of the family was much relieved, may kind providence bless you all. I shall return home in the morning &c
