Geo Town 27th July 1811

Dear Charles

I have this evening got home in safety. Before I left Bal, I saw your letter to Littleton and had I not wished to obtain some letters for you here I wd. have proceeded to Phila. immediately and returned home this way. My present impression is that I shall leave this on Tuesday Wednesday for Bal and remain there one day and then go on to Philadelphia or if your time of sailing is imperious and so as to require my being there earlyer, I shall push on altho I want to settle with Brown & Taylor and converse with the Gilmours1. This all I can say at Present except that I shall exercize my best endeavours to obtain as many letters of introduction for you2 as I can and bring with me nothing new. In love for Sarah I am
