Kegatank Nov. 6th. Evening 1806
My dear Charles
Your letter of the 29th Ulto pr mail was duly received and the spirit of its contents was very acceptable. I sincerely wish it was in Henrys power to have the opportunity of Dr. Physic. He is actually so low and weak, That it would seem like presumption to attemp getting him to your City, altho he occationally expresses the greatest desire to be with you. I have no doubt but that he would willingly risque the Voyage or Journey was he in the least incouraged or rather If I should advise. I have this day sent for his brother and uncle Dennis when we get together it will be determined what movement to make. Henry is as weak and quite as poor as John Dennis was (I expect a forghtnight before his decease and almost alway under a sweat fever and excruciating pains in his Hips, his loins, and thighs, and without any appetite. In the evening his fever rises and he very often through the night suffers greatly. He has almost every day discharged some blood at the nose, he is so weak at this time that he cant go from his Chair to the bed, without help. This dibility was what forbid my making the attempt by land and yet I may do it if he gets somewhat Stronger. No thing should prevent my attempt and especily as it is to gratify him in his ardent desire
